“life is what happens while you’re making other plans,” and that’s what’s happened with my life. Finn and I continue to talk politics but we never did get to recording a second podcast episode. Also he left DC after college, and I stopped needing to fly to DC for work as my job changed, and then, I changed jobs.
The impetus and inspiration for this podcast and webpage dissipated in perfect time with our waning desire to weigh in on the obvious train wreck of modern politics.
So, going forward, Patter Familiar, should it continue, will be a personal project. A place to collect thoughts and images for documentation and sharing, on a platform that I own and control the distribution of. Finn has a login and may post and share anytime should he feel the need, but being Gen Z and not Gen X, the blog is unlikely to be his place to post. I think he’s active on Reddit.
